Earlier trailer / v0.99.397

A minute of clips, slides, lower thirds, projection mapping and effects from the earlier release.

What is in it

The Chladni effect: a stormy test card gathering into glowing plate lines.
Chladni — the pattern sand makes on a vibrating plate, solved per pixel. Your picture is the sand.
The databend effect tearing a night-time test card into rainbow bands.
Databend — a delay with feedback, a filter and a wavefolder, run on the frame instead of a sound.

Nobody touched the mouse

Every shot was driven down the same TCP control port a Stream Deck or a Bitfocus Companion button would use — TAKE, FX ADD schlieren, VIDEO OUTPUT LAYERWARP MODE perspective — and recorded by Deckboy's own programme recorder from the released 0.99.397 build. The frame count in the effects run is that recording's own: every frame the recorder owed, with no dropped-frame alarm. The titles, captions and the swirl were added afterwards.

The first trailer

The 0.99.374 trailer shows Deckboy's control window at work — transitions, a window cue, a web page cue, slides with presenter view — and its music is Deckboy playing itself: the 2A03 chip voice, a Tone cue fired down the control port and run through the application's own audio rack.

Feature clips

Short ones, one feature each, recorded from the released 0.99.397 and cut with captions that name what is on screen. Each comes in a vertical version for phones. Music: YMCK, used with permission; film footage: Tears of Steel © Blender Foundation, CC BY 3.0.

Reuse it

Deckboy-generated silent captures and the first trailer with its original music are GPL-3.0 like the rest of the project; take them for an article or a talk. The music-backed v0.99.397 trailer is yours to share and embed as it is, but its music belongs to YMCK and its footage carries the credits above, so please don't cut it into anything else.
